Podcasting 101: 6 Things I’ve Learned So Far

Podcasts are an increasingly popular phenomenon now. Everyone from celebrities to students are podcasting, using social media and of course popular websites. I believe the need to communicate, promote, and keep up with current events is what has sparked a boom in podcasting. Also being in quarantine over the last several months, many people have found that increasing their social media use with the inclusion of podcasts is a way to stay engaged and build networks.

I have always been a journalist at heart, in addition to being a creative writer. I wrote articles for my college newspaper during my junior year of college. I also worked as an editorial intern, writing community news stories for a Brooklyn newspaper after college. Reading the news and writing about current events has always fascinated me. My passion for storytelling through creative writing hasn’t stopped with just the motivation to publish books. As a blogger with an interest in journalism, I also enjoy reading and gathering news related to topics of interest. And sometimes the topic is just me sharing my experience and thoughts. All of this sparked my interest in beginning a podcast. Something I could share with friends and supporters that would allow me to engage on my perspective of various topics.
